Despite being hunted for over 150 years, buffalo still run wild over the plains and swamps of Northern Australia.  Their wide humped shoulders and sweptback horns, a symbol of great strength and power. 

As a totem, the Buffalo shows us great versatility, courage and a strong instinct for survival.  Its spirit reminds us to pay tribute to the sacrifice of life that allows us to survive.
